F.I.T. for the King is designed for men and women interested in practicing yoga in a setting where their Christian beliefs are not compromised. F.I.T. is an acronym for flexible bodies, inspired minds and transformed spirits.

 

F.I.T. combines three out of four components of a well-balanced fitness regime: resistance training, stretching, and strengthening. F.I.T. is for all ages and fitness levels. A very young 78 year old woman had no trouble keeping up with the beginner class.

 

F.I.T. is great for anyone who wants to remain strong, active, and agile well into their senior years, and realize  exercise is no longer an option.

 

Increased flexibility and stronger bodies is only part of the equation. At the end of each class we spend ten minutes in quiet restful reflection. The Psalmist instruct us to "Be still and know that I am Lord."  Yet we lead such busy hectic lives with jam-packed schedules that there is little time left for quiet reflection, which is why the meditation at the end of class is just as important as the physical exercise. As one F.I.T. student said, "I never realized how important meditation was to relieving stress and quieting my mind. It's my favorite part of class."
